We slept reasonably well in the
Bann Pantai Resort in
Cha-am.
The breakfast, with an espresso, also tastes good.
Today we plan to visit Sirindhorn International
Environmental Park, somewhere between Cha-am and Hua Hin.
Tom looks up where it is exactly, and it turns out to be on an army base.
We drive there and yes, this park is closed on Wednesdays.
Then we go to Phetchabiri, to
Phra Nakhon Khiri (Khao Wang), a palace on top of a mountain where we have been before.
We park at the foot of the mountain, where a funicular train to the top of the mountain
starts, but first we take a look around the shops at the foot of the mountain.
Once at the top it turns out to be very hot there, you would expect it to be cooler there
because there is more wind, but unfortunately that is not the case.
We go back down fairly quickly and drink some iced coffee there.
We drive back to the hotel and spend part of the afternoon on the terrace of the room and the pool. Very relaxed.
Pia is in contact with Moue, and the question is whether we should arrange extra rooms or whether we just go back on Friday. The question is simple, are you coming to Cha-am and with how many people, the answer should be just as simple, but it takes hours to come up with the answer.
We don't feel like searching for a restaurant for a long time, we are going to eat at Coco Buono Bar & Bistro, where we have eaten more often on past journeys. This time we order a rib-eye and fish fillet, it tastes good. So does the espresso with a glass of cognac.Written on: 2020-03-20
We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment,
there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood,
the weather and many other factors.
